Who this policy applies to

This Privacy Policy applies to SolarLink’s Android app, public policy pages, support workflows, and the backend systems used to operate customer, technician, and administrator accounts. It explains how SolarLink collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects information when you use the marketplace.

Data categories SolarLink processes

  • Account details such as name, email address, phone number, role, and authentication credentials.
  • Marketplace and service data such as job requests, technician profiles, job statuses, ratings, reviews, support requests, and dispute records.
  • Location information used to support job creation, technician discovery, proximity-based matching, routing context, and fraud or abuse review.
  • Device and session identifiers such as refresh tokens, device tokens for push notifications, and operational metadata used to secure accounts.
  • Optional content you choose to submit, including attachments, descriptions, support messages, and service-related notes.

How SolarLink uses information

  • Create, authenticate, and secure user accounts.
  • Match customers with technicians and coordinate the booking lifecycle.
  • Send in-app notifications, push notifications, support updates, and transactional emails.
  • Investigate abuse, platform misuse, fraud, payment or pricing disputes, and safety incidents.
  • Maintain service history, backup integrity, platform reliability, and legal compliance.

When data may be shared

SolarLink does not sell personal information. Limited information may be shared in the following situations:

  • Between customers and assigned technicians when needed to complete a booking or resolve a dispute.
  • With service providers used to host infrastructure, send transactional email, send push notifications, and monitor platform health.
  • When required by law, legal process, or a valid request from a competent authority.
  • To investigate, prevent, or respond to suspected abuse, threats, fraud, or security incidents.
  • As part of a merger, acquisition, or business transfer, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice where required.

How long SolarLink keeps data

SolarLink retains information only for as long as it is reasonably necessary for service delivery, security, dispute handling, legal compliance, backup integrity, and legitimate operational needs. When you delete your account, SolarLink revokes active sessions and deactivates the account, while preserving only the records that must be retained for fraud prevention, legal obligations, or historical service integrity.

Your privacy options

  • You may access and manage visible account details from within the app.
  • You may request account deactivation or deletion using the in-app deletion flow or the public account-deletion page.
  • You may contact SolarLink to request correction of inaccurate data or to raise privacy concerns.
  • SolarLink does not use marketplace data for unrelated third-party advertising and does not sell personal information.

Security safeguards

SolarLink uses authentication controls, token invalidation, rate limiting, server-side validation, encrypted transport, logging, and operational monitoring to reduce unauthorized access and abuse. No system can guarantee absolute security, and users should also protect their devices, email accounts, and passwords.

Children’s privacy

SolarLink is intended for adults who are legally able to request or provide services. We do not knowingly design the app for children or knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

SolarLink may update this Privacy Policy as the service evolves or as legal or operational requirements change. The latest published version at this URL is the canonical current version.
